Formerly a top fashion model at 5'10'' tall. Carey was popular with the top American designers, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. In 1979 in 1979, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists named her father Scientist of the Year. Carey was brought up throughout the world due to her father's work. In the years of her college, she began to model part-time and attracted the attention from Ford model Agency representatives in New York. The model lived in France briefly, in Paris as well as Bordeaux. After that, she came back to New York for her college studies as well as to develop her modeling career. As she modeled, she continued to study in full-time a major in literature at New York University. When she began studying acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her interest in acting grew. In 1986 she had her first acting role which was a part of Club Paradise, with Robin Williams. Her hobbies include ski, white-water rafting wind-surfing and climbing rocks.
